Week 1:Description: Similar to the old game show "Newlyweds," contestants had to guess what their partner would answer to certain questions. There were two rounds. In each round, one of the partners would go inside the house while the outside houseguests were asked questsions. The outside guests would write their answer on the chalkboard. Afterward, their partner would come out wearing their answer. The competition was hosted by Eric and Jessica from season 8. Who won: Amanda and Alex | Week 2:Description: In the classic Big Brother style, contestants had to answer questions based on what they thought the majority would answer. There was, however, a catch: whatever answer was chosen as most popular would be what the contestants received/lost for the week. For example, one question asked whether the majority of houseguests would rather have the men make breakfast in bed or the women cook dinner. Naturally, the contestants believed the majority would say that they would want the women to cook dinner, so the women now have to cook dinner for the men. Some of the other consequences were no hot water for 72 hours, no washing machine for two weeks, and no drinking cups for two weeks. Who won: Chelsia and James |
Week 3:Description: The competition was split into two rounds - one for the men, one for the women. In each round, players were read a quote from the various frames on the walls of the house. The players had to correctly identify who was the speaker of each quote. If the player answered correctly, they got to eliminate another player. If the player answered incorrectly, they themselves were eliminated. If a the winners from each round were from a different couple, the man and woman who won from each round would then battle it out in the end to see which couple won. Sharon won the first round, and Joshuah won the second, so there was no need for the tie-breaking round. Who won: Joshuah and Sharon | Week 4:Description: The houseguests were asked True/False questions about previous competitions they had competed in. If a competitor answered correctly, he or she was allowed to stay in the game; if a competitor answered incorrectly, he or she was eliminated. This was the first Head of Household competition the houseguests played in as individuals. Who won: Ryan |
Week 5:Description: In this endurance competiton, the houseguests had to hang high in the air on top of disco balls. To make things a bit more difficult, Big Brother started swinging the disco balls and spraying the houseguests with champagne. Whoever stay on his or her disco ball the longest would be named the victor. Who won: James | Week 6:Description: The houseguests were told they would square off against each other and asked questions about statements previously evicted houseguests had said in the diary room. Two at a time (the first two selected by a random draw), houseguests would approach the podiums to answer a question. The first houseguest to buzz in with the correct answer, or the last person standing, would have to opportunity to select the next two houseguests to approach the podiums (if neither houseguests buzzed in with an answer, they would both be eliminated). Last man or woman standing would be crowned as the next Head of Household Who won: Adam |
Week 7:Description: Houseguests competiting for Head of Household were blindfolded and asked to predict how America answered a series of election-based questions pertaining to the remaining houseguests. Julie Chen asked the questions America had answered via a CBS.com poll and gave the houseguests two names to chose from. Depending on the name, each houseguest had to raise their left or right hand to answer who they predicted America thought fit the question. If correct, a houseguest would be able to take a step forward on his or her path. The houseguest who made it the furthest after seven questions would be the new Head of Household. Who won: Natalie | Week 8:Description: To win Head of Household this week, houseguests had to guess how many specific items were in the house. Julie Chen gave the houseguests a number of how many of a certain item there was in the house (two way mirrors, lights, pull out drawers, etc.) and competitors had to guess whether the actual number was "More....Or Less" than the number Julie gave. Who won: Adam |
