Your strategy or strategic role: Being a Psychologist, I'd psychologically evaluate each player to assess the following traits: loyalty, game play strategy/knowledge, and strength of character. I will choose the 4 best players (based on my assessment) and I'd form an alliance from day 2. Part of the alliance would include spending little time together and even appearing to be in other alliances.
Description of strategy: After forming my core alliance, I'd talk strategy to and seek intimacy with as many players as possible (outside of my alliance). I would disclose, to other people that it is part of my strategy to not align with anyone too early in the game. Once my alliance had the numbers, I'd begin to play a more outwardly aggressive game. Additionally I would not tell anyone I am a Psychologist, I might say I was a therapist or Social worker (so no one will feel as though I do not need the money). My role in the house would be the same as my role in the real world... I'd play therapist. When ever anyone needed to talk, I'd be there!
Why would this win? In the end it is usually the strongest alliances that make it to the end. If I can increase my chances of forming a strong alliance very early on, then I'd be sure to go far!
Drawbacks? The only drawbacks I see are my profession... if I am found out, then the houseguests may feel they have been decieved.
First thing you'd do after banking half of a million? Pay off my student loans!!
